Longridge Activity Centre, a non profit Charity, is a vibrant community hub offering outdoor adventure activities, that has provided the opportunity for over 80,000 young people and families to take part in a variety of activities, experiencing the magic of the Thames and its beautiful surroundings for nearly 100 years.

We have exciting plans to expand our concept on and off site especially with more expeditions and off-site activities therefore we need team members with ambition and vision who will help evolve what Longridge has to offer now and in the future.

We are currently seeking a Seasonal Instructor to join our team.

Role Involves

  • To deliver High Quality, educational and safe activities to a wide range of clients, focusing on the company’s ethos and values.
  • Planning, Developing and Delivering high-quality sessions in line with training and standard operating procedures.
  • High level of customer service.
  • Support product and business development.
  • Maintenance of equipment and facilities to ensure the ongoing safety of clients and staff.
  • Contribute towards the development of the Centre.
  • Support all areas of operation

Qualifications, skills and experience must include

  • National Governing Body Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
    • Paddle Sports Instructor (SUP, Canoe, Kayak) (Taster and Development)
    • First Aid
    • Safeguarding
    • Full Driving License
    • Experience running roped activities (Multi Lines, Participant Belay)
    • At least one season working at a multi activity Centre.
    • Two Reference contacts
  • Must Hold at least One of the Following:
    • ERCA
    • CWI/RCI (Assessed)
    • BC Coach Award
    • RYA Power Boat Instructor
    • Dragon Boat Helm
    • Bush Craft Competency
    • Early Years Childcare Qualifications

Longridge activity Centre is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All Applicants will be subject to stringent vetting and induction process including an Enhance DBS disclosure and reference check.

Contract Type: Full Time Seasonal 1 March 2022 – 31 October 2022

Salary: £20,000

Accommodation: Available at reduced rate
