Activities Manager opening at Longridge Activity Centre, Marlow. We are looking for someone to help to lead our team, inspiring and motivating them. Successful applicants must be used to working in the fast-paced multi-activity centre environment and be comfortable with responsibility. You will be overseeing centre operations, and working with the senior team to ensure Longridge is providing exceptional service in all areas.

The role’s primary aim is to develop and deliver the Longridge Live product range. Longridge Live is our mobile activity range. You would be responsible for the research, planning and delivery of new and exciting products, therefore applicants should be creative thinkers, and good problem solvers. Alongside this, you would be working with the management team to oversee the day-to-day delivery of sessions at Longridge Activity Centre, as well as delivering high-quality sessions yourself.

Working with the Longridge management team to ensure that Longridge is successful within the outdoor sector, with specific responsibility for developing and delivering efficient and effective operation at Longridge Activity Centre and new “pop-up” locations, as well as creating new expeditions products.

Key Responsibilities


  • Work with our Head of Marketing to create and promote our new Longridge Live product range, which can be delivered in various locations to clients of all ages and abilities
  • Actively find new Locations and Events and meet with the location owners and manage a positive ongoing relationship that sees benefits to both parties
  • Arrange meetings with potential clients and manage a positive relationship with those clients
  • Ensure all activity equipment is maintained as per legislation and inspected as per the charity’s policies.
  • To keep up to date with best working practices, National governing bodies’ guidelines and legislation in all activities. To ensure the ongoing safety of clients and staff.
  • To deliver specialist courses and coordinate with external companies or other organisations.
  • To actively seek new business opportunities and work with the management team to fulfil them.
  • Create and review off-site operation documents in conjunction with the Head of Activities.
  • Oversee operations to ensure the delivery of high quality and safe sessions at Longridge Activity Centre and temporary off-site locations.

Motivate and inspire

As part of the job, you would be responsible for observing instructors’ session delivery and delivering sessions yourself. Therefore, must be competent in a range of activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • ERCA High ropes Instructor / RCI
  • BC Coach Award / BC Level 2
  • 16 hours First Aid
  • Safeguarding
  • Full Driving Licence

Live in or Live out positions available. We have a house split into two flats on-site for our senior team members. Can self-cater or be catered for by our Site Chef. Salary package c£40k
