Fundraising for the future - Skydive for Longridge

We want to raise £25,000 this year for the Giant Swing at Longridge. This will be a fantastic enhancement to our land-based activities, and your support will help us to achieve this ambition, one of the first of our new projects.

The jump will be run by Adrenaline Adventures Skydiving School, which operates out of Headcorn Airfield, near Maidstone in Kent. It is affiliated to the British Parachute Association (BPA) and is one of the UK’s leading parachuting centres with over 30 years experience.

It will take place on Monday October 5th 2009. You will need to be available all day to give time for travel, briefing and flight scheduling.

How does it work?

You will be securely attached to a highly experienced tandem skydive instructor from the moment you get in the aircraft until you land. After exiting the aircraft at around 12,000 ft you will enjoy panoramic views at speeds of up to 120 miles per hour! At 5,000 feet your instructor will deploy the parachute and hand you the dual steering controls allowing you to help fly the canopy, under supervision back down to approx 500 feet. Just prior to landing your instructor will assume control and land.

After a pre jump tandem skydive briefing of about 30 minutes you will be talked through everything as it's happening right up to the moment you leave the aircraft.

It's probably the wildest thing you will ever do!
