Our prices are based on groups of up to 8 sailors for seventy-five minute fun sessions or 6 if you are working towards at RYA qualification.

We run sessions for absolute beginners and our highly experienced and qualified staff are able to offer courses leading to qualifications right up to instructor level.  We can create a course for you if you are visiting as a group or alternatively individuals can join one of our established courses, dates are under the course title.

Longridge taster sessions are always a good experience for the first time sailor. Some of our beginner boats are fitted with a raised boom to give more room to manoeuvre. Our taster sessions take place throughout the day and evening from April until the end of September.

All of our courses are based on the RYA Sailing syllabus (Royal Yachting Association). These sessions are run by qualified and experienced instructors with a minimum ratio of 1 instructor to 6 students. Individuals can book onto any of the courses detailed below or ring Longridge on 01628 483252 to arrange a bespoke course for your group.

If you are looking to further develop your skills as a Sailor and would like to join a club, then Cookham Reach Sailing Club are just up the road and come highly recommended. They are a friendly, family club sailing a variety of boats from Merlin Rockets to Toppers on a delightful reach of the River Thames at Cookham. They have excellent Club facilities, a spacious boat park for storage, club boats that can be borrowed and an active social scene for all ages. Spring, Summer and Autumn racing is organised on Sundays, with Summer casual sailing on Saturday afternoons. They welcome all ages and levels of experience! RYA Start Sailing Stage 1 & 2 (Under 14)

Aimed at the novice sailor, you will learn how to steer a  boat and contol the sails.  The course will lead to an assessment, successful completion of which will result in either at Stage 1 or 2 award.
