Activities: Rowing/Sculling
We have a number of rowing boats on site, ranging from single handers, two person and for crews of six to eight. This year we have complimented our fleet by introducing sculling boats.
We run 75 minute sessions for absolute beginners as well as courses leading to further qualifications. Click on courses to find out what we are running this year or ring Longridge to arrange a bespoke course for your group.
We also provide a Rowing boat hire service to groups and individuals who have relevant qualifications and experience for which prices are available on application.

Pulling/Gig
Our traditional, fixed seat wooden Gigs take a crew of 8 and are a very stable craft, perfect for a first row - for young and old.

Courses
Rowing Introduction 2-day courses (young people)
2-day courses to provide those 11+ with a basic understanding of sculling techniques. Day starts at 9am and fnishes at 5pm and the price includes lunch both days. No experience is necessary and once you have completed a course you may join Longridge's Rowing Club.

School Holiday Taster Rowing Sessions
We run taster rowing sessions during the school holidays, including half-terms. Rowing is suitable for those in Year 7 (11) and above. No experience is necessary, the day will start at 9am and finish at 12pm and the price includes lunch.

Longridge Rowing Club (young people)
Once you have completed a course you may join our Rowing Club, which runs club sessions starting from the 17th April on one or more of the following dates. The price shown is for a block of 6 sessions. For those that completed a 10-week course in 2009 we are also running invitation sessions on 21st March, 28th March & 11th April.

After School Rowing Courses
Starting March 2nd and September 7th 2010, 10-week rowing courses for those 10+ to introduce you to a range of rowing and sculling craft. This course is part-sponsored by both Bucks and Berks Sport and therefore only £40.00 for those in these counties, £120.00 for those outside.

Rowing for Fun & Fitness Course (adults)
Are you looking for a new way to stay fit and burn off some calories? Rowing is recognised as one of the big fat busting exercises as well as being great fun.
Every month starting Dec 09 on every week day we are running fun rowing sessions for all ages and fitness levels - no experience is necessary. Book your course on your preferred day and time:
