We have 3 fantastic team building activities that will transport you to our island, they appeal to all ages and guarantee lots of fun while working together

Raft Building
Our prices are based on group numbers up to 12, which is the maximum numbers available for this activity in any 75 minute session.
Led by our qualified activity staff, we have enough equipment to enable groups to make two individual rafts, with group sizes of no more than six paddlers onboard each raft at a time.

Card Board Kayaking
Design and build a Kayak out of card board! We will supply the materials to allow a group of 12 to build 3 Cardboard Kayaks. We supply cardboard, tape and plastic sheeting you supply the design to fit around the materials. Then one at a time the kayaks can be tested and paddled on the water under the supervision of an instructor. Successful builds will allow each of the creators to be able to paddle their craft. Poor designers get a dunking!!

Build a Coracle or three!
Coracles (from the Welsh "cwrwgl") have a history dating back thousands of years. The coracle was originally covered with animal skins and in some countries they are still made this way. In Wales they are now skinned with calico which is waterproofed using a bitumastic paint. Longridge is following this tradition with a modern twist. We will supply enough material to create 3 Coracles from plastic piping and tarpaulin. You weave your design into a Coracle shape and cover with the tarpaulin then you test your design one at a time on the water.

Courses
Rafting Training for Leaders
This half-day, 0900 – 1230, course leads to the Longridge Rafting Certificate, which entitles the bearer to lead Longridge rafting sessions.
